About Shuck Cancer

The Houston Young Professionals for the American Cancer Society (HYP4ACS) committee invites you to join us at the second annual Shuck Cancer Houston event on November 2, 2023! Your support will make a meaningful difference in the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

Save lives, Shuck Cancer! The evening will feature wine and oyster pairings and non-oyster cuisine from top local seafood eateries, live music, silent auction and more. The American Cancer Society will also have the pleasure of recognizing top achievements from the Shuck Cancer Pearl Honorees and community partners.

Why Shuck Cancer

Save lives, Shuck Cancer! In 2022, there will be an estimated 1,918,030 new cancer diagnoses, and 609,360 cancer deaths. Thanks to community supporters like YOU, the American Cancer Society has been able to fund more than $5 billion in cancer research since 1946. This research has made a huge impact in prevention and access to quality care causing the cancer mortality rate to decline at an accelerating rate.  These results are promising, but we need your help to ensure all patients have equal access to care and continue receiving the support services they desperately need. Join the forces to help end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
